Abstract This paperpresentsanobserver-basedcontrollerdesignfortheclassofnonlinearsystemswithtime- varyingparametricuncertaintiesandnorm-boundeddisturbances.Thedesignmethodology,fortheless conservativeone-sidedLipschitznonlinearsystems,involvesastuteutilizationofYoung’s inequalityand severalmatrixdecompositions.Asufficient conditionforsimultaneousextractionofobserverandcon- troller gainsisstipulatedbyanumericallytractablesetofconvexoptimizationconditions.Thecon- straints arehandledbyanonlineariterativecone-complementarylinearizationmethodinobtaininggain matrices. Further,anobserver-basedcontroltechniqueforone-sidedLipschitznonlinearsystems,robust against L2-norm-bounded perturbations,iscontrived.Theproposedmethodologyensuresrobustness against parametricuncertaintiesandexternalperturbations.Simulationexamplesdemonstratingthe effectivenessoftheproposedmethodologiesarepresented.
